Inbound

Inbound

This image came to me when I was feeling swamped with too much cyber contact coming my way.

Feeling a little under strain?

Feeling A Little Under Strain?

If anyone is interested to know, I'm painting in Synthetik Studio Artist, a wonderful bitmap paint program that allows one to design unique brushes. So it's not like trying to fake real world brushes but rather enjoying what digital brushes can offer.

Coffee Anyone?

Coffee Anyone?

The good news about painting with digital techniques is that there's no sticky mess. The bad news is that it feels a bit like taking a shower with my clothes on.

You're looking grate!

You're Looking Grate!

Thanks to my sister Linda for the grate! title.

Pain Killers

Painkillers

It was an interesting challenge to find something to dress up the bottle with. These glasses remind me of the black rimmed specs my dad wore in the 1960s.

Bling

Bling

Of course you can't have just one image as a stand alone in a particular style, so a couple of days later I searched around for another funky model and this hippo in bling is the result.

You look great in pink

Queer Duck

This little duck has been around my studio for years. I got it at the Kalamazoo Animation Festival about 5 years ago from Mike Reiss, a very funny guy who is also the writer of Queer Duck: The Movie, and a script writer on The Simpsons. It struck me that it might make a lovely image for a painting.
